Ø I successfully designed and delivered multiple WLAN/LAN/WAN office solutions for Vodafone corporate locations. These solutions were based on Cisco 4507R, Wireless LAN Controllers 5508, Aironet AP 3602, ASR1002, Sup7L-E and Sup7E. I developed LLD documents for each deployment from an existing HLD, generated Implementation plan as well as device configurations and successfully implemented the solutions. The network technologies utilised in the solutions were VLANs, 802.1Q, 802.1X, IPv4, Multi-VRF support, PVST+, HSRP, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS L3 VPNs, QoS, DMVPN and VoIP. Once the solutions were deployed each site it was validated against a set of predefined test cases.

Ø Led a team to carry out an Infrastructure “health check” of the Vodafone Fixed-line India Enterprise, produced a report detailing the as-is infrastructure and developed a proposed roadmap for integration into the rest of the Vodafone Mobile Enterprise.

Ø I Developed a wide-area network security architectural policy document for Vodafone Mobile that provided guidance, support and governance to various support and design teams detailing the acceptable use of MPLS VPNs within the Vodafone Security Zoning Framework.

Ø Provided technical leadership to the Cable & Wireless (now Vodafone Fixed-line) Security Integration Programme. I engaged in the Social discovery of Cable & Wireless Firewalled environments and discovered 600+ Firewalls across the environments. Defined the process for capturing Firewall / environment information and produced a summary report. 

Ø Was the Lead Technical Design Architect for the design and implementation of EE’s Corporate and 3^rd Party Remote Access Platforms. I gathered and documented stakeholder requirements and then produced HLD and LLD documents Analysed and Audited existing customer remote access implementations

Ø Designed solution for EE’s corporate remote access platforms based on 2-factor authentication and group authorization with support for 6000 concurrent users. The VPN client software was Cisco AnyConnect and the VPN hardware platform utilised was the Cisco ASA 5585-X (with SSP-40). Two-factor authentication was provided by means of AD user credentials and SecurEnvoy Secure Access Server that securely transmitted SMS tokens to user mobiles via an Internet SMS Gateway. Enforcement of the permitted VPN access authentication and authorization methods was enforced by the Cisco Access Control System (ACS) using RADIUS.

Ø Designed solution for EE third-party remote access platforms based on 2-factor authentication with support for 1500 concurrent users

Ø Defined tasks to facilitate delivery of the solution and deployed remote access solutions

Ø Liaising with the various support teams to resolve connectivity issues on the remote access platforms

Ø Designed a Seamless Wireless connectivity for wireless client across TMUK and OUK sites

Ø Successfully Implemented a LAN refresh for Vodafone’s call centre to facilitate to the rollout IP Phones to 1300 call centre agents.

Ø Completed the implementation of a Cisco WAAS (WAFS) solution for Conoco in order to improve the user experience (response times) of file and print services over IP Sec tunnel connectivity between UK data centres and US offices.

Ø Designed and implemented a highly resilient switching platform for hosting voice platforms for Virgin Media. At the time, the design adopted new Layer-2 resilient technologies (Flex Links) that ensured failover times would not exceed 100ms, which was a key requirement for the voice platforms.

Ø Designed and implemented multiple Campus network refresh projects for BRIT Insurance, European Medical Agency, WhatMan (3 Sites) and Perenco. Implementations were based around Cisco Catalyst switches and Cisco Firewalls.

Ø Designed a portable network solution to facilitate the seamless and effortless OS upgrade of Enterprise PCs connected to the Vodafone Office LAN. The solution was based on Wake-on-LAN magic packet, DHCP and NAT technologies.

Ø Fulfilled BAU connectivity requests onsite at Vodafone. Provisioned service connectivity requests from new & existing business partners into the enterprise network. Provisioned services across a multi-tiered Firewall platform consisting of Bluecoat proxies, Net continuums, Netscreen & Checkpoint Firewalls. Also fulfilled requests on the MPLS network using IPSA Metasolv.

Ø Onsite Technical Consultant at Barclays Capital provided 3^rd line support to Enterprise Network and Datacentres. Assisted 3^rd line support teams with Incident resolution and change implementation.

Ø Designed an 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN for a TNT Express warehouse. This was required to enable the use of wireless handheld scanners on the 4000m² warehouse floor and Trailer bay areas.

Ø Conducted a WLAN audit (using Airmagnet) for Citrix Inc. to identify possible sources of wireless interference and causes of performance degradation.

Ø Designed structured cabling solutions for 2 Datacentre networks using CommScope’s cabling solutions
